The Directory
One of the biggest frustrations of icon-hunting is searching through tags, only to find that your desired tag reflects just one or two of the icons in each post. To remedy that, I've created this directory of my icons for you, which functions as a tagging feature for individual icons, rather than just individual posts. By clicking the "Text" link below, for instance, you will find all the text icons that I have ever posted. They are updated whenever I post a new batch of icons.

Some fandom icons for you, because apparently I'm into that sort of thing, now. These are all Doctor Who because I didn't realize I had so many and I didn't want this post to get bigger, so Sherlock and Vikings will come later. Because I did so many alternates, I grouped variations of an individual image down rather than across; this looks less cluttered to me. I'm kinda making up descriptors to help you tell me which ones you like, but don't worry about it if it's too confusing.

Photobucket's new update comes with some really problematic changes for me, like no infinite scrolling. So while I really wanted to make you a nice pretty post, since I haven't posted in so long, this is going to be more of a photo dump of all the icons I have been saving up for something special, since otherwise I am going to end up losing them in the mess that Photobucket has become.

As a result, this post contains 62 icons, or what I would normally have broken into more than 3 separate posts. Bear with me while I experiment with switching to another image host.

Hello, my dears. This post comes with lots and lots of icons! It was totally unintentional that this turned out to be an animal post, but once I started it, I just went with it. That's cool with you guys, right? Everyone likes animals... don't they? :P

This batch is a tribute to a dear friend of mine, who passed away earlier this month. He was my absolute favorite cultural anthropology professor in college, a vast storehouse of experience and knowledge, and one of the subjects he was extremely passionate about was gender and sexuality. These may seem like odd subject matter for a tribute, but he taught sex positivity and I know he would approve of the sentiment.

The Slut icons are courtesy of slutsunite.org, a sex-positive website which provided them for use as avatars and icons on social media. All I've done is resized the icons for use on LJ. If you want one of their other images resized as icons (I couldn't do them all- there are a lot!), let me know and I'll be happy to do that for you.

Hello, my lovely followers! I've officially been selected to be a temporary, supplementary icon maker at puka_pudge! I'm really excited about this opportunity. I will primarily be posting my icons there for a while, but I will link to them from here and I will continue to post a handful of icons here just for you!

If you haven't seen it already, for a while now I've been working on a little project for you guys. If you view my journal (not through your friends page), you'll see that I've created a sticky post which contains a directory. Every icon I've ever posted can be found here, sorted by category.

Why is this better than tags? Say you're looking for an icon of a sunflower. If you look at all the posts tagged "flowers" you may find that each of those posts has only one flower icon in it, and you would have to go through dozens of posts to find what you're looking for. It may have been months since I last posted an icon of a sunflower. If you use my directory, however, you will only have to look under "Plants" (or "Yellow" if you prefer) to see every sunflower icon I have ever posted. If you know what you're looking for, it saves you quite a bit of time.

This directory will always be up-to-date (I will update it within a week of posting a new batch of icons), and will even include icons that I post at puka_pudge and other communities.
